Assam Sattra Mahashova is a socio cultural organization of Assam. This organization

formed to bring together the Satras of the Mahapurushia tradition established by Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva and his contemporaries and subsequent Gurus to promote spiritual, cultural, moral and social development among all the people of Assam. The prime motto of this organization is to promotion and dissemination of Sattriya tradition, culture and philosophical ideology of Srimanta Sankaradeva. Its an umbrella organization of 1242 Sattras of Assam and 14 sattras in North Bengal.
